I've been skimming trough these tutorials, and they're all good, information wise, but I think it would be good if we could decide on some sort of formating standard for tutorials, and other documents. I noticed a few tutorials have a Table of Content, and even fewer have a introduction. For users who are a familiar with Slackware and Linux this isn't really a problem, but this wiki should be easy to read for everyone.

What I think a good tutorial need is:

  • A good introduction that informs the reader what the tutorial is about, and what the results will be
  • A table of content so it can easily be navigated (especially if it's a bigger document)
  • The different sections should be clearly marked, so one can see where in the document he/she is
  • At the end it should be a list of links to sources where one can find some more information on the subject

I think the Burning and Kernel Compilation tutorials looks pretty good.

To learn more about formating, I recomend this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Style_and_How-to_Directory

This is just some ideas what I think would be good for the wiki, please post toughts and ideas!

A Table of Contents is automatically placed at the top of a page when there is more than 4 headers. You can force a TOC at any location by entering __TOC__ .. everything else sounds fine.
